Stress and Tension
Stress can not be avoided. We live in a environment where its go, go, go.... A days work can be anything from a nine to five job, playing sports, taking care of a loved one, planning a dinner party or what ever your day may consist of. Stress comes with the action. Stress becomes a problem when we don't manage it well. When this happens our bodies defenses break down and become more susceptible to illness. Reflexology reduces stress by generating deep tranquil relaxation.
We all know how important it is for blood to flow freely trough the body carrying oxygen and nutrient to all the cells in the body and remove waste and toxins. Stress and tension tighten up the cardiovascular system and restrict blood flow. Circulation becomes sluggish. By relaxing and relieving stress and tension this will allow the blood to flow freely through the cardiovascular system.
What are the Benefits of Reflexology and what to Expect?
What is a treatment like?
To ensure maximum relaxation a reclined position is preferred by the client. The Reflexologist normally works on the bare feet. Treatments are usually 40 minutes, 20 minutes on each foot. If someone does not have a foot the hand on that corresponding side can be used.
The purpose of Reflexology is to reduce tension, revive, reactivate, heal, and bring the whole body into harmony and a state of balance.
Reflexology treatments can be preformed on the hands, the feet, or as a combined treatment. Reflexology can also be combined with Reiki to enhance healing.
